UK Business Supplier of Plastic Cases
Stylish yet tough Hofbauer Multibag double wall plastic cases
Being one of 3 Hofbauer plastic cases manufactured using blow moulding instead of injection moulding (the others being Quantum T and Megabag), the Multibag cases are both stylish and surprisingly tough.
The manufacturing technique allows for its key feature – the double walled construction – to provide improved strength alongside additional protection for its’ contents. This can be enhanced further with custom foam inserts.
Please see below for the Hofbauer Multibag case options.

Strong yet attractive plastic case option
Hofbauer are one of the few case manufacturers to produce plastic cases using a blow moulding technique (the other being WAG).
What this means in practice is a number of properties inherent in the cases which make them an ideal choice for medium to heavy duty applications (although please note – for extreme protection / rough handling a Peli™ type waterproof case would be more suitable).
Blow moulding allows the Hofbauer Multibag cases to be created with a double wall design. This not only provides additional strength to the case, but also enhances the cushioning protection provided to the contents. This protection can be enhanced yet further with the inclusion of custom foam inserts.
The manufacturing process also means that the case is created as one piece – helping to costs extremely competitive and making the suitable for a wide range of applications.
Additional features of Hofbauer Multibag cases
There are a lot more to the Multibag cases than just their construction however.
Although the choice of 2 sizes and 2 colours is small compared to the vast majority of other protective case ranges, the appearance is unique and attractive at the same time.
The integral handle and catches are simple and easy to use, whilst the living hinges allow the cases to lie completely flat when opened.
All of this is made possible thanks to the durable polypropylene construction that ensures the cases are able to withstand significant knocks and mishandling, whilst remaining surprisingly lightweight and easy to handle.
All in all, the result is a case that is a solid choice for applications ranging from sales presentations (i.e. use as a sample case) all the way through to protection for medical equipment, service engineers and specialist tools and equipment.

Frequently asked questions regarding these plastic carry cases
Considering a Multibag case for your business? Need some further information? The below section is for you!
But, although this section aims to cover the most commonly asked questions regarding these carry cases, if you still need further information or assistance that is no problem either. Simply get in touch on 01722 416 440 and we’ll do the rest.
What material are Multibag cases manufactured from?
Multibag cases are manufactured from a high quality Polypropylene material. This provides high levels of strength, provides an attractive finish to the cases, makes them easy to clean, and also means they are very cost effective.
What benefits does blow moulding these cases provide?
Blow moulding the Multibag cases – rather than injection moulding as per most sample cases – allows for a unique double wall construction to be achieved. This in turn makes the cases stronger, allows them to be moulded in one piece (reducing costs) and ultimately provides more protection for their contents.
What colour Multibag cases are available?
Multibag cases are available in 2 colours – black and light grey / silver. Other colours can be requested, but these are subject to minimum order volumes.
Can I have custom foam inserts in a Multibag case?
Any Hofbauer Multibag case that you source from GWP Protective can be enhanced with custom foam inserts. Being a perfect fit for your specific products or tools – as well as the case itself – provides higher levels of protection from mishandling.
Why are there only 2 sizes of Multibag cases?
Although there are only 2 size options available in the Multibag case range (the smaller having internal measurements of 325 x 223 x 69 mm, and the larger 325 x 223 x 94 mm), the sizes work well for a number of different applications. Other Hofbauer cases – such Xtrabag, Minibag and Maxibag – provide a much more comprehensive range of sizes if required.
Are these case as suitable alternative to Peli type cases?
If your business requires a case that withstand knocks and general mishandling, the Multibag cases are a much more cost effective alternative to the ultra-tough and durable waterproof cases. However, if you need the highest levels of protection – including from water and dust ingress – then Peli Protector™, Storm Case™, Explorer and other hard equipment cases are a more suitable choice.
