Waterproof cases that can eliminate transit damage and improve end user satisfaction
Peli Storm Cases are an ideal solution for practically any application where your tools, equipment or products need protection.
Protecting from water and dust ingress (being IP67 Rated), as well as from mishandling and impact, Peli Storm cases with foam inserts can completely eliminate transit damage.
This, in turn, reduces your associated costs, including the need for returns and replacements, as well as ensuring projects are completed on time thanks to critical items arriving undamaged.
It also means that all Peli Storm Case are supplied with a full manufacturer’s lifetime guarantee – if you break the case, it will be repaired or replaced free of charge.
Besides this reassurance, it also means you can increase end user satisfaction through reliable supply, enhance the perception of your business and, ultimately, improve your business performance through repeat business.
Ultimately, if you have items which simply cannot be damaged – either through being too expensive or rare to replace or due to their importance to your business – then Peli Storm Case with tailored foam inserts can offer the exact level of protection you require.
Custom Storm Case options
As mentioned above, the enhancement that can vastly improve the already impressive performance of Peli Storm Case is specifying bespoke foam inserts.
Created from Plastazote® polyethylene foam and tailored exactly to your products, it is possible to create cushioning protection to precisely calculated levels.
As such, this completely eliminates transit damage, reducing the costs of returns, improving end user satisfaction, enhancing the perception of your business, and ultimately improving sales (i.e. repeat business through reliable supply).
Another benefit of using foam inserts can be seen through improving the efficiency of your staff or end users.
This can be achieved through labelling the foam with laser etched instructions or part numbers, or the use of contrasting coloured foams to quickly highlight if individual tools, products or equipment or missing from the case (this also helps to minimise items being lost or left on site, again reducing the costs of replacements).
As well as foam, however, you can specify external print and branding for the exterior of your Peli Storm Case (and indeed any of the other waterproof cases available).
This can be anything from your logo (providing additional brand exposure and awareness) all the way through to adding instructions, batch or part numbers to aid traceability or improve efficiency for you, your employees, or customers.
Standard Storm Case options
Besides this, however, there is a range of standard enhancements for Peli Storm Cases too.
This includes bezel kits which allow for mounting of electronic and communications devices directly into the case. These not only eliminate movement within the case during transit, preventing damage but can also improve usability on site (the case is effectively used as a stand for the mounted items).
Divider sets and organisers can also be included for specific applications, whilst shoulder straps offer improved user comfort when carrying cases over large distances.

Storm Case FAQs
Common questions regarding Peli / Hardigg™ Storm Case
Despite being one of the most popular protective case ranges available today, it is still common to have a number of questions regarding the Peli Storm options.
The below section covers the most frequently asked questions regarding Peli Storm cases but, if you still cannot see the info you need, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
What size Storm Cases are there?
The range of Peli Storm cases are available in 23 different sizes. The smallest of these, the iM2050, is 241 x 190 x 108 mm, whilst the largest (Im3075) measures 757 x 528 x 451 mm (please note both dimensions given are for the internal dimensions).
What colour Storm cases are available?
Storm cases can be sourced in 4 different colours., These are black, orange, yellow and olive drab (think of a light army green type colour).
Are Storm Cases waterproof?
Storm cases are IP67 rated, meaning they are completely water and dust proof (even if submerged). The vortex pressure relief valve can also help to equalise pressure if a case is submerged for a prolonged period, making it one of the most advanced watertight cases currently available.
Where are Storm Cases manufactured?
The Peli headquarters is located in Torrance, USA, with 200,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space. However, Peli is now a truly global company, with six manufacturing facilities, 23 international sales offices, and multiple advanced case centres, network stations, and service centres throughout the world.
Is it possible to have a custom size Storm Case?
Due to the tooling and manufacturing costs, it is not possible to specify custom Peli Storm case sizes. However, when combined with the range of other options from Peli, as well as Explorer, SKB, Nanuk and Hardigg, you should be able to find a suitably sized case. If not, you may also wish to consider an EXOCase (waterproof flight case).
What are Storm Cases made from?
Storm Cases are manufactured using injection moulding techniques and a high performance, HPX resin material. This not only allows the case to be incredibly strong and resistant to impact, but also means the cases are fully watertight too (when combined with the O ring seal). They also perform well in cold environments (unlike many other plastic cases).
Do Storm Cases have wheels?
A number of the larger cases in the Peli Storm range have durable inline wheels as standard. These are then coupled with a telescopic handle to make these larger cases easier to use. You can see which cases have wheels in this detailed size table.
Can I customise my Storm Cases?
Storm Cases offer excellent customisation potential. This includes standard options such as straps, organisers, divider sets, bezel kits and pick and pluck foam inserts. You can also specify fully bespoke options, including custom engineered foam inserts and external print / branding.
What Peli Storm alternatives are there?
Peli themselves offer a number of Storm case alternatives, including the Peli Protector cases and Peli Air ranges as well as Hardigg Roto-Mould (there is in fact much debate concerning Storm Cases vs Pelican). Besides this, other manufacturers including Explorer, SKB and Nanuk offer cheap peli case type options with similar levels of performance and features.
What industries / applications use Storm Cases?
Storm cases are used in a huge range of applications and industries. This includes use by service engineers, marine and offshore, military / defence, medical, emergency services, broadcasting, expeditions and many others besides.
