Description
More info on Correx® dividers and cell partitions
You can enhance almost any handling tote, container or returnable transit packaging with Correx® dividers. They are particularly useful for applications involving the handling of multiple smaller parts or components.
Being modular in design and manufactured to fit most standard sizes of tote boxes already in use at your business, Correx® tote divisions can be adapted to suit your specific products. This size flexibility also eliminates purchasing new containers (minimising costs).
It means you can arrange your plastic dividers to create various networks of cells to suit specific applications while also ensuring a perfect fit with the most standard-sized totes and containers (including the range of Correx® totes, boxes and plastic trays).
And, if you are using a custom or unusually sized outer container, you can also specify completely bespoke divider sets (in terms of overall dimensions, cell sizes, material strength, colour etc.) perfect for your exact requirements.
Storage box divider sets are also durable, robust, and easily cleaned to ensure a long lifespan. You can disassemble your Correx® box inserts when not in use to be stored flat, saving valuable warehouse space. And finally, using them in conjunction with Correx® layer pads also allows for multiple levels of Correx® dividers to be “stacked” within the same container.
Why use Correx® dividers?
There are many reasons to use Correx® dividers, the key amongst these being to allow for the safe and efficient handling of multiple items.
However, besides improving the efficiency (and productivity) of any staff member handling parts or components at your production facility, minimising the movement of parts or products within the handling container also reduces damage caused by mishandling.
Preventing damage can, in turn, significantly impact your costs by minimising damaged parts and stock.
Correx® does also not shed fibres and is easy to clean (further enhancing the usable life span of your dividers).
For applications that require higher levels of protection – particularly for delicate surface finishes – it is possible to utilise Bubble board (see textile dividers for further details). This material offers additional surface protection through fabric or foam laminates.
Cell divider sets can also help with safe handling practices; individual cells for items prevent the tote container from overloading. They also allow for much quicker visual checks of stock and can be used to differentiate between different batches, production runs or even similar-looking products (using different coloured materials).
The use of Correx® corrugated plastic for these divider sets – and the flexibility this provides – also means that you can specify completely bespoke features and designs. Created by an in-house team, your custom Correx® dividers (and other inserts) are designed for your specific parts, industry, or application.

FAQs
Common questions regarding Correx® dividers
Many businesses do not realise just how much of a positive impact Correx® divisions can have on their handling operations. As such, there tend to be numerous questions when considering the adoption of these.
Some of the most commonly asked questions are covered here, but for any other information, please contact a GWP team member on 01793 754 457 (or email correx@gwp.co.uk).
Can Correx® dividers be manufactured to allow for a specific cell size?
Your business can source custom-sized Correx® dividers that allow for any cell size to be specified. This flexibility enables you to select a cell size that offers the optimum part density and protection when used in your handling containers or transit packaging.
Will these dividers fit my totes?
As with selecting specific cell sizes, you can also have dividers manufactured to fit your outer containers perfectly. There are also dividers to fit commonly used tote containers. Regardless of your assembly line (or broader supply chain) setup, you can get Correx® divisions that are perfect for your application.
Can Correx® dividers be layered in an outer container or box?
It is not possible to layer Correx® dividers on their own within an outer tote container (this is because the parts will drop through into the cell below). However, by using layer pads, it is possible to have multiple layers of dividers (and therefore parts, components, or products) within a single outer box or tote.
Are these dividers adjustable or fixed?
You can specify either fixed or adjustable dividers. Once manufactured, you cannot adjust fixed Correx® partitions (but this means they can be created with additional strength etc.). On the other hand, adjustable dividers have slots at varying increments (often 30mm) that allow you to alter the cell size. This flexibility of cell sizes is advantageous if parts and components may change frequently.
What colours are Correx® dividers available in?
Correx® cell dividers are available in a range of colours. Options include black, white, green, red, blue, yellow, and silver. Differing colours allow you to match (or contrast) the outer container or enable you to select colours that reflect your company branding. Different colours also allow you to differentiate between batches, production runs, or similar products.
Do Correx® dividers protect delicate surfaces?
Whilst Correx® dividers provide enhanced protection against mishandling, they are not always suitable for protecting from surface marking (i.e. scratches or scuffs). For applications where this is crucial (e.g. for painted or polished parts or components), it is possible to use Bubble board specialist dividers with foam or fabric laminates.
