Stackable Cardboard Picking Bins

Stackable cardboard warehouse bins

If you need to improve the organisation of your warehouse storage, protect your inventory, or reduce fulfilment times, stackable cardboard picking bins can help.

Cardboard stacking pick bins are open-fronted containers used for storing and order picking in warehouses, storage rooms and fulfilment centres. The stacking feature maximises vertical space and allows for a large number of products to be stored together. Cardboard picking bins are supplied flat and can be easily assembled/collapsed without glue or tape, making them ideal for both long- and short-term use.

At GWP Correx®, we don’t just supply standard cardboard warehouse pick bins – we design and manufacture them to your exact specifications. You can choose the overall size, strength, configuration, weight capacity, printing and other options, whilst our experts can also assess and identify the best option for your specific application.

FAQs

Are cardboard stacking bins a suitable alternative to plastic bins?

Cardboard stacking bins are the most cost-effective type of picking bins available. They are a good alternative to Correx® stacking bins or moulded plastic options (such as Euro containers) for lighter products and clean, dry environments. However, plastic bins do offer a longer lifespan, increased strength, and do not shed fibres.

Are stackable cardboard bins strong enough for the weight of my products?

It is possible to manufacture stackable cardboard bins using a range of different materials. Material choice can influence strength to meet different requirements, including using double-wall cardboard for heavier products. However, for contents weighing more than 10-15kg, Correx® stacking pick bins may be a more suitable option.

How high can cardboard bins be stacked?

The safe stacking height of cardboard picking bins depends on several factors. These include the height of the individual bins, the material grade used to make them, and the weight of the product(s) in each bin. As a result, it is typically possible to stack pick bins from three to ten units high. An experienced designer of picking bins can advise on safe performance thresholds if required.

Can stackable cardboard picking bins feature printing?

Stackable cardboard picking bins (and cardboard shelf bins) can feature printing on the exterior surfaces. Printing allows for the addition of company logos and branding, handling instructions, safety information (such as safe stacking height) and even part numbers if your inventory does not change frequently.

Are cardboard picking bins sustainable?

Cardboard picking bins are easy to recycle at the end of their usable life, as virtually all commercial and domestic recycling streams accept this material. The cardboard stacking pick bins manufactured by GWP Correx® also use FSC-certified material by default.
