Pick Walls

Custom warehouse pick faces

If you are looking for maximum staff efficiency, organisation, and protection for your inventory, pick walls are ideal.

Pick walls are interconnected, open-front stacking pick bins that, together, form a large bank of storage. As a result, picking walls enable a high stock density and efficient retrieval, improving the productivity of fulfilment staff.  They are also modular to maximise available space, and are both free-standing and suitable for use within racking. Pick walls are popular for warehouses, 3PLs, and eCommerce fulfilment.

At GWP Correx®, we can design, manufacture, and supply custom warehouse pick faces that deliver tangible improvements to your operations. Our expert team will assess your space, inventory, picking methods and more, working closely with you to provide a pick wall that maximises efficiency, improves part density and organisation, and ultimately helps you reduce fulfilment times.

FAQs

Is a pick wall different to a pick face?

The terms pick wall and pick face are interchangeable, with some businesses even referring to them as a pick face wall. Both refer to a collection of storage bins or picking crates, usually with open fronts.

How do pick walls help order fulfilment?

Installing a pick wall offers several benefits for your business. Firstly, it can help to both protect and organise stock whilst in storage. It also helps maximise the available storage space in your warehouse or fulfilment centre. And it will also allow order pickers to find specific items more quickly and easily (helping with fulfilment times and productivity).

Are warehouse pick walls free-standing?

Pick walls can be created as standalone areas or incorporated into existing racking at your business. This flexibility can help extend your storage capacity or maximise your existing setup.

What other types of picking bins are there?

Besides pick face walls, you can choose from several other picking bins. Options include cardboard and Correx® parts bins, rigid plastic shelf bins, stacking pick bins and even anti-static options.

Are pick walls available in materials other than Correx?

Pick walls are available in several different materials. Moulded plastic bins, such as Euro stacking containers, provide excellent strength and durability, but are only available in standard sizes. Cardboard stacking pick bins offer the option of bespoke sizes at low prices but have a considerably shorter lifespan (reflected in the lower unit costs). Correx® pick walls offer the ideal compromise between cardboard and moulded plastic.
