Description
More info on Correx® handling trays
If your employees handle large volumes of products, parts, or components, then custom Correx® trays can help improve the efficiency of these processes.
Available in bespoke sizes to suit your specific products, storage space or production environment, the use of Correx® can make your handling trays much more tailored to your particular applications. The savings in terms of space efficiency, material usage and staff productivity can be significant.
But Correx® trays also offer several other benefits (many of which are inherent to the material itself).
Their durable and long-lasting Polypropylene material makes them resistant to water, oils, and most chemicals, and they are easy to clean.
Corrugated plastic trays also do not shed fibres, making them suitable for medical or pharma packaging (similar to vial trays). Besides this, they are also widely used for manufacturing, lineside and even horticultural applications.
Additional Correx® tray options
Many varying options can be specified when sourcing industrial Correx® trays.
For example, your handling trays can be manufactured in various material grades and thicknesses to tailor their performance. Similarly, there is also a range of colours. These options allow you to match your brand identity or segment products, component types, batches, etc., using different coloured trays.
You can also add external print, including company logos, handling instructions, or other important information.
But besides all this, your Correx® trays can also be enhanced with a range of inserts and dividers (i.e. dunnage).
Insert options include fixed or adjustable Correx® dividers and simple layer pads to custom foam dunnage. You can also specify specialist dividers – including anti-scuff and cushioning – created using the innovative Bubbleboard material. It is even possible to use Correx® handling trays with vacuum formed inserts.
All these options mean that Correx® trays are a versatile, easy-to-use handling option where full-sized plastic totes are not required.

FAQs
Common questions regarding Correx® trays
Most businesses have several questions before considering using custom Correx® trays.
This section covers the most common questions. But should you have any further queries, please contact GWP on 01793 754 457 or by emailing correx@gwp.co.uk.
What size Correx® trays are available?
It is possible to manufacture Correx® trays to the specific size you require for your application (there are no standard sizes in stock). Bespoke sizing means you can tailor your handling trays to the dimensions of your products and components, your available storage and production space, or so they work with any automated handling systems you may have.
What colour Correx® trays are there?
Correx® is available in various colours, including white, black, silver, yellow, blue, green and red. These colour options allow you to match your Correx® trays to your business identity or use different coloured trays to differentiate between similar products, batch numbers, etc.
Can I add inserts or dividers to these trays?
You can enhance any Correx® tray your business needs with several “dunnage” options. The range of available inserts includes foam, vac-formed insert trays, standard Correx® dividers, custom inserts and even specialist Bubbleboard options (that provide anti-scuff or cushioning properties).
Are these of comparable strength to moulded plastic trays?
It is possible to manufacture Correx® trays to offer a similar strength to moulded plastic trays and containers. However, the benefit of using Correx® trays is their lower cost, lighter weight, and size flexibility.
What is the difference between tote boxes and trays?
The difference between trays and totes is due to their size (although the terms are often interchangeable). Trays tend to be shallower, whilst totes (Correx® or moulded plastic options such as Euro containers) tend to be larger and deeper.
Can I get anti-static handling trays?
You can source a wide range of stock or bespoke ESD safe handling trays, including those manufactured from Corriplast (effectively a conductive Correx® material) or Corstat® conductive fibreboard. ESD kitting trays are also available.
