If your business needs to protect microchips, semiconductors or printed circuit boards (PCBs), Corstat® chip boxes are the market-leading option.
Corstat® chip boxes are a type of carbon-coated cardboard packaging. The coating creates a “Faraday cage” effect, channelling static charges around the outside of the pack to protect the contents. Corstat® chip boxes are available in 6 standard sizes with optional foam inserts. Custom sizes are available on request.
GWP Conductive are the sole manufacturer of Corstat® microchip packaging and PCB boxes in the UK. Our packaging experts have specific knowledge and vast experience of the requirements for protecting electronics from both physical and electrostatic damage.

Benefits of Corstat® microchip/PCB packaging
Damage from static can significantly shorten the lifespan of electronic devices and their components or cause them to become completely unusable. Corstat® chip boxes are vital in preventing ESD (electrostatic discharge) damage and provide many additional benefits.
The Corstat® coating on these chip boxes creates a Faraday cage effect. This feature channels any static charges around the outside of the pack, protecting the contents.
Corstat® coating is guaranteed to be effective for ten years, making it the most reliable and long-lasting ESD packaging solution.
Corstat® chip boxes are environmentally friendly, using corrugated cardboard in their manufacture. They are easily recycled by the end user and are biodegradable.
Besides protection from static, Corstat® microchip packaging also provides excellent physical protection against mishandling.
Optional soft pink anti-static foam or a high-density pin stick grade conductive foam provides additional physical cushioning and ESD protection.
Corstat® chip boxes are available in 6 standard sizes. Bespoke sizes are available on request (subject to minimum order quantities).
All GWP Conductive products, including microchip and PCB packaging boxes, are available through a Europe-wide network of specialist distributors with lead times from 48 hours.
