Description
More info on Corstat® Component Boxes
Corstat® Component Boxes offers a convenient and safe way to store and transport static sensitive devices.
The Corstat® conductive coating provides Faraday cage protection, whilst the inclusion of antistatic foam provides an additional level of ESD safe cushioning.
This dual level of protection – from both static and physical mishandling – helps to eliminate damage to your items.
This in turn helps in reducing the costs associated with returns, stock not fit for sale and even customer dissatisfaction.
The packs are available in a comprehensive range of sizes and are available from stock, assembled or flat packed as required for next day delivery.
Custom sizes of the Corstat® conductive component boxes are also available on request.
Why use Corstat® Component Boxes?
Damage from ESD (electrostatic discharge) can be extremely common during storage and transportation of motherboards and PCBs.
This is the key reason why you can source a range of suitable anti-static packaging from GWP Conductive (and a network of specialist distributors).
However, there are other ways that your business can benefit from using Corstat® Component Boxes (and indeed other forms of Corstat® packaging).
Firstly, the boxes can be supplied flat to save reduce storage space and transit costs, or ready assembled to minimise your assembly / packing times.
You can also choose from a range of interior foam options, allowing you to find the perfect balance between ease of use and protection from physical mishandling (as well as static).
Corstat® material is also safe to handle and use with no requirement for protective equipment or clothing, and is also fully recyclable, biodegradable and insert.
This makes disposal at the end of its usable life quick and easy, without harming the environment.

FAQs
Common queries about Corstat® Boxes
Please see below for the most frequently asked questions about the Corstat® Chip Box range.
What size component boxes are available?
There are 8 different sizes in the Corstat® Component Boxes range. The smallest of these is 40 x 40 x 15 mm, whilst the largest is 178 x 89 x 25 mm. This typically covers most of the requirements for specialist electronic componentry, but there are other anti-static packaging options available if these stock sizes do not cover your requirements.
Will these component boxes protect against static charges?
Corstat® is the most widely used form conductive packaging currently available. The special coating and buried shielding layer create a Faraday cage effect, which channels any static charges around the outside of the box to protect the contents within.
Is it a good idea to include foam in these boxes?
Adding foam to your Corstat® Component Boxes provides a number of benefits. Firstly, using an anti-static or conductive grade can provide further protection for your parts / components from static damage. Secondly, the foam also provides a level of cushioning protection, preventing damage that is potentially caused by mishandling.
Can I have my company logo printed on these component boxes?
If you need a very large volume of component boxes, it is possible to add your own branding to the exterior surfaces of the box. This is however subject to minimum order quantities and will incur additional charges (i.e. for the printing plates). It does, however, provide a great opportunity to promote your brand / business.
I have a component too big for these boxes – what should I do?
If you have a component that is too large for these Corstat® boxes, there are a number of options available to you. This includes the larger Transit Pack range, which is designed for larger items. Alternatively, it is possible to specify bespoke Component Boxes, which a team of designers will be able to create for you (this is subject to a minimum order quantity).
