Why use Peli Cases?
The original waterproof equipment cases
Put simply, the Pelican or Peli Protector case is the original (and many would argue best) waterproof case option. This history not only means that Protector cases have built up an extensive loyal army of users, but have been tested, customised, and trusted for over 50 years. Constant development also means they offer a wide range of features and benefits.
Their enduring success, popularity, and exceptional performance, mean that they are still seen as the benchmark for all protective cases today. They have also spawned several related lines manufactured by Peli (including Air, Storm Case, Micro etc.) and many copycat products (including Explorer, Nanuk, B&W etc.).
The range of Peli Protector case sizes has also developed over the years, now incorporating almost 50 different options. As such, Protector offers one of the broadest range of size options of any protective case.
The copolymer polypropylene material used is exceptionally tough, hard-wearing and durable. Combined with an open cell core and solid wall construction, it guarantees protection for your items.
Every Peli Protector case is supplied with a full manufacturer’s lifetime warranty. Peli’s slogan puts it best – “You break it, we replace it. Forever”.
Peli Protector case features
Pioneering features to assist usability and performance

Easy open latches
Also referred to as “double throw” latches, the clasps provide easy opening and access to the cases’ contents and are also extremely strong. The closures remain tight even during extensive drop and impact testing.

O ring seal
Manufactured from a flexible polymer, the tongue and groove design of the O ring creates an IP67-rated, water and dust-tight seal.

Easy grip handles
The ergonomic and well-designed handles also include a soft coating that enhances comfort when handling the cases.

Stainless steel pins (hinges)
The Peli Protector case hinges use stainless steel pins to improve both durability and longevity and ensure smooth opening and closing of the case’s lid.

Automatic pressure release valve
The pressure release valve equalises pressure between the inside and outside of the case (e.g. if the case is submerged underwater). The automatic valve protects the contents and stops the case from becoming deformed or opening when it shouldn’t.

Quiet roll wheels
Selected larger cases are supplied with wheels to improve handling. Steel ball bearings reduce noise, ensure a smoother operation, and enhance longevity.

Copolymer resin shell
The copolymer resin is used with an open cell core and solid wall construction to create an incredibly tough and durable case. The material is resistant to the vast majority of chemicals too.

Padlock-able eyelets
The padlock-able eyelets are reinforced, providing extra strength and resistance to being cut. This feature allows for enhanced security of sensitive and/or expensive items.
