Durable plastic carry cases
WAG Heavy cases are an excellent option if you need a lightweight yet heavy-duty case to protect your tools and equipment.
WAG Heavy cases are a range of durable plastic carry cases. They feature a double-walled construction that adds strength and additional protection for their contents. Available in 13 sizes and eight standard colours, WAG Heavy cases are ideal for service technicians, medical staff, engineers, and a range of other applications.
At GWP, we can supply WAG Heavy cases with various customisation options. In particular, you can significantly improve the protection of your items by using our custom foam inserts. We can also offer you the most comprehensive range of protective cases from a single supplier, and our UK experts can provide genuinely impartial advice on the best option for your specific application.
WAG Heavy case features
The WAG Heavy range offers numerous features and benefits as standard.
Comfortable handle
The rubberised, soft-touch handle is long-lasting and very comfortable. This feature is particularly useful when the cases contain heavy items.
Stacking feet
The integrated stacking features allow multiple Heavy cases to be used together. This is particularly useful if staff need to take different kits or equipment onto site.
Smooth surface
The smooth surfaces allow printing to the front/back of the case or even have graphics added during manufacture through in-mould labelling.
Knee lever seals
The latches—also known as knee lever seals—are very secure yet incredibly user-friendly. They also give the cases a stylish, modern appearance.
Feet
The moulded feet are particularly large and robust, meaning Heavy cases are especially stable when upright (even when fully loaded with equipment).
Case construction
The ribbed surfaces and double-walled sandwich frame construction absorb knocks, provide high stability, and gives an exceptional weight-to-strength ratio.
WAG Heavy case sizes
WAG Heavy cases are available in a range of 13 sizes. The smallest case is 277 x 197 x 69 mm, with the largest being 612 x 432 x 220 mm. Heavy cases are available in black, silver, grey, blue, navy, red and yellow colours as standard.

WAG case experts
Although GWP Protective can offer arguably the widest range of protective cases from a single supplier—including the entire WAG range, Hofbauer, Peli™, Maxado, and more—another key benefit is our expertise in foam inserts.
This means that your business can source cases and foam together. This not only reduces admin, hassle, and costs but also greatly improves quality, compatibility, and fit. In fact, you can specify your foam inserts to provide a precise level of protection.
Our team of case experts is happy to provide free, impartial guidance on the best case for your application, whilst a dedicated, experienced design team can guide you through the foam insert creation process.
Couple this with free, no obligation quotes and the highest levels of customer service, and your business can see tangible benefits when working with us.
What colour Heavy cases are there?
Heavy cases are available in 7 standard colours: black, silver, dark grey, blue, red, yellow, and navy. Subject to order volumes and setup costs, 12 more colours are available.
What insert options are there for Heavy cases?
Heavy cases provide a wide range of insert options. This obviously includes case inserts and foam lining, but the double-wall construction means that pockets and profiles can be moulded directly into your transport cases’ interior surfaces.
How are Heavy cases manufactured?
Heavy cases use a unique combination of injection moulding, blow moulding and deep drawing techniques to create the innovative double wall design. Manufactured in Germany, you can also be sure of their high quality.
Are these a suitable alternative to Peli-type cases?
Whilst WAG Heavy cases are an excellent option for mid- to heavy-duty applications, they do not provide the same level of protective performance as dedicated waterproof equipment cases such as Peli™, Storm Case™, Explorer, etc. However, they are ideal for applications that need more protection than provided by lightweight plastic cases but where the tougher cases are over-specified (and, as a result, more expensive).
Are Heavy cases IP-rated?
Heavy cases do not come with an IP (ingress protection) rating. Whilst they offer good levels of protection against dust and water getting in, a waterproof case would be the better option if this is a consideration for protecting your tools, equipment or products.
How can I tell if Heavy cases are suitable for my specific application?
It can be difficult to choose a suitable case for a specific application. But with more than 25 years’ experience as an independent case supplier, GWP is happy to provide impartial advice on the best option for your specific requirements.
Heavy case alternatives
If WAG Heavy case are not exactly what you need, we can offer you the broadest range of alternative plastic cases from a single UK supplier.
