PCB storage
If you need PCB storage boxes or ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection for smaller parts or products, plastic Conductive component boxes are a cost-effective choice.
Conductive component boxes are a range of small plastic containers that protect their contents from static. Their integral hinge and catch make them easy to use, whilst optional foam inserts provide additional physical protection. Available in six sizes, you can opt to add branding or essential information to the external surfaces.
At GWP Conductive, we design, manufacture and keep a stock holding of the broadest range of anti-static packaging products in the UK. Our in-house design team, with specific knowledge of conductive packaging performance, can advise on the best option for your business or create a completely bespoke solution.

Benefits of conductive component boxes
Using conductive component boxes provides your business with several significant advantages:

FAQs
Can component boxes be used as PCB boxes?
One of the primary uses for conductive component boxes is for the safe storage and transit of CPUs and PCBs. Both CPUs (central processing units) and PCBs (printed circuit boards) can be particularly susceptible to static damage. In fact, the onset of ever-smaller components in advanced electronics further exacerbates the problems faced. These PCB boxes can help protect these items in both storage and transit.
What size CPC boxes are available?
There are six conductive component box size options: the smallest is 34 x 34 x 8, and the largest is 138 x 102 x 30 (all measurements in mm, referring to the internal dimensions). The range of sizes lets you choose one appropriate for your intended application.
Do component boxes protect from static during storage?
The component box plastic material provides dual protection for small components, chips, circuit boards, and other products. This performance includes excellent protection against atmospheric static charges and a high degree of physical protection.
Is it worth including foam inserts in anti-static boxes?
The protection offered by almost any anti-static packaging is improved dramatically with the inclusion of foam inserts. Pink anti-static foam is typically the default option, or you can choose from a wide range of alternative foams depending on your specific application.
Can conductive component boxes help reduce costs?
From reducing the amount of unusable stock discarded to minimising customer returns by eliminating transit damage, using CPC boxes can significantly improve your profitability. They can even indirectly help repeat sales, earning your business a reputation for reliable supply.
