Description
Detailed information on printed Correx® packaging
Printed Correx® packaging is considerably more durable than traditional corrugated cardboard. This enhanced longevity means Correx® packaging is ideal for added value packaging. Correx® boxes are also suited to rental and similar business models where items are returned. Correx packaging can be printed in full colour using digital or screen print.
Using Correx® packaging instead of traditional options, such as corrugated cardboard boxes, can have several benefits depending on your intended application.
For example, as the boxes are more durable and robust, they last longer – meaning they are more likely to be retained by end users. The added value this provides can also enhance the perceived value of your product (itself helping to drive sales).
Correx® boxes can have indirect advantages too. Reducing transit damage, the increased reliability of supply enhances end-user satisfaction and aids repeat business. Besides this, Correx® can be used to create added-value packaging that customers are likely to retain for ongoing use (whereas individuals would almost immediately discard cardboard).
Printed Correx® packaging is also resistant to moisture, and inclement weather, meaning businesses and end-users can use packs outside. This property makes it a popular choice for retail environments covering DIY, building merchants, etc. Correx® packaging is also popular for use in garden centres.
Printed Correx® packaging
Of course, you can enhance any Correx® packaging with various print options (similar to Correx® postal packaging, briefcase boxes, and gable boxes).
Print can consist of simple, one-colour logos through to full-colour, digitally printed designs.
The material has various colour options, including standard blue, green, red, yellow, black, and white. Custom colours are also available, subject to order volume.
Beyond this, there is a wide choice of design options.
You can select the actual style and look of the packaging itself (and, of course, the size) and the additional features such as hinged or separate lids, handles, hand holes, buckles, poppers, and other closures.
And finally, it is possible to enhance printed Correx® packaging with a range of inserts and dividers. These can help segment products, speed up packaging and unpacking, and even help prevent damage in transit (you can also use foam packaging inserts, end caps or foam lining).

FAQs
Questions regarding printed Correx® packaging
This section covers some of the most commonly asked questions regarding Correx® packaging.
Can’t see what you need? Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, on either 01793 754 457 or by emailing correx@gwp.co.uk.
What is Correx® plastic packaging?
Correx® material is a fluted polypropylene, also known as “plastic cardboard”. As such, you can source a wide range of printed Correx® packaging (similar to corrugated packaging). However, Correx® has increased strength, lifespan, and water resistance compared with cardboard. Correx® packaging is, therefore, suitable for specific industries (including garden centres, DIY etc.) and returnable packaging applications.
Can Correx® boxes be printed?
You can choose to print your Correx® boxes in several ways. Options include single-colour screen printing (which can create a striking, visually appealing appearance alongside the bright colours of the Correx® material) through to full-colour digital print.
What size Correx® retail packaging is available?
As with corrugated cardboard retail packaging, printed Correx® boxes can be manufactured to the exact size you require. Choosing specific sizes can significantly reduce costs through minimised material usage, more efficient storage and transit, and less secondary packaging, such as void fill.
Can Correx® packaging include inserts etc.?
You can also choose to enhance Correx® printed packaging with various inserts. Options include standard layer pads, cradles, or divider sets and using specialist material such as Bubbleboard to prevent surface scratches and scuffs. It is even possible to have foam lining on your Correx packaging.
Can Correx® packaging be recycled?
Whilst you can recycle Correx® boxes at the end of their life, kerbside recycling schemes do not typically accept this material. End users must take the material to a specialist recycling centre.
Why should I use Correx® packaging instead of cardboard?
Correx® packaging is an excellent option for applications that require improved strength, lifespan, or resistance to water or weather. These properties are why it is popular with DIY retailers, garden centres, builders’ merchants, and similar outlets. It is also a great choice where the end-user retains or returns the packaging (rather than immediately discarding it).
