GWP Group feature on BBC TV coverage of Budget Statement

Following GWP Group’s appearance on BBC Radio Wiltshire, the Cricklade production facility and staff also featured on a wide range of BBC news coverage, including BBC Points West, BBC News 24, BBC World Service and even BBC Two’s coverage of the chancellor’s budget, “Autumn Statement 2013”.

BBC Presenter Dave Harvey visited GWP Group’s production facility at Chelworth Park, Cricklade, on Thursday 5th December for both live and pre-recorded features that were shown across BBC outlets throughout the day.

Initially, GWP Group CEO David Pedley and Stella Weeks, of Mainline Recruitment, were interviewed live on BBC News 24, discussing the current state of the economy, GWP Group’s operations and performance over the last twelve months and the jobs market in the area.

The next coverage saw GWP Group Staff members Lisa Tate and Matt Dobson talking about the proposed changes to retirement ages and pensions, which featured on BBC Two coverage of the chancellor George Osbourne’s budget statement.

The programme, titled Autumn Statement 2013, was shown live and hosted by Andrew Neil and Jo Coburn.

Finally, following on from the Chancellor George Osbourne’s Autumn Budget Statement, the BBC spoke about the challenges faced by West Country business with GWP Group CEO David Pedley, and also discussed changes to the retirement age and pensions with GWP staff member Lisa Tate.
