Plastic ESD parts bins
If you need to store ESD (electrostatic discharge) sensitive parts or components, SSI Schaefer LF Series bins provide both static and physical protection.
The SSI Schaefer LF Series are a range of plastic ESD parts bins. They are available in 7 sizes, compatible with most warehouse racking. They are also stackable and can be mounted on louvre wall panels. The conductive Polypropylene material protects contents from static charges, and is durable and robust. These ESD picking bins are also resistant to moisture and suitable for use in temperatures from -20° to +100° C.
At GWP Conductive, we are the UK exclusive stockholders of the SSI Schaefer range of conductive products, which also includes the EF Series euro containers. Our UK designers can also create completely bespoke ESD packaging for any requirement.

FAQs
What applications require ESD parts bins?
Static-sensitive parts and components (e.g., chips, circuit boards) can be easily damaged by static. This damage, often invisible, can result in either faulty finished products or products with a much-reduced lifespan (both of which could damage your business reputation and/or sales). LF bins help protect these parts during storage and picking.
Do SSI Schaefer LF bins protect static-sensitive items?
The conductive polypropylene material offers a volume resistance of <10³ Ohm x cm and a surface resistance of 10⁴ Ohm. This conductive performance means that any atmospheric static is safely channelled around the bins’ exterior, protecting the items within. These picking bins also offer exceptional physical protection. The rigid moulded plastic is resistant to moisture, oil, and grease. It is also dimensionally stable over the temperature range of -20° to +100° Celsius.
What sizes are LF series bins available in?
The SSI Schaefer LF Series bins are available in 7 sizes, ranging from 65x91x44 mm to 445x279x185 mm (all dimensions refer to the internals). Whilst this is a relatively small range, the modular nature of the bins and their suitability for standard shelving and racking means they provide enough options for the vast majority of businesses.
What does LF stand for?
LF stands for “Lager Fix”, a term given to bins across the SSI Schaefer range that are compatible with each other and with standard racking and louvre panel walls.
Do these bins fit standard warehouse racking?
The range of SSI Schaefer bin sizes suits a wide variety of parts and products and has been designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing racking and warehouse storage systems. They also feature integrated fixings on the reverse to allow them to be mounted on louvre wall panels, meaning they can maximise vertical space at your workstation, picking wall or manufacturing line.
