ESD storage bins
If you regularly store IC devices, dip tubes, or other delicate components susceptible to ESD (electrostatic discharge), Corstat® bin boxes provide effective protection.
Corstat® bin boxes are essentially ESD storage bins. They are available in 20 sizes and a range of formats. Their design creates a Faraday cage effect that channels any static around the outside of the bin, protecting the contents. These ESD picking bins also protect against dust, mishandling, and UV exposure, eliminating costly damage.
At GWP Conductive, we are the UK market leader in the design and manufacture of anti-static packaging, with over 80% market share. We’re also the UK’s exclusive converters of Corstat®. As such, you can source a vast range of tried-and-tested stock products, typically within 48 hours, via a nationwide distributor network.

FAQs
What are Corstat® bin boxes made from?
Corstat® bin boxes use carbon-coated corrugated (cardboard), also known as Corstat®. Corstat® has long been regarded as the optimum way to protect static-sensitive devices, being specified by practically every OEM and blue-chip manufacturer of electronics or specialist equipment. However, you can also choose to have these ESD storage bins manufactured using Corriplast conductive plastic.
Do Corstat® bin boxes protect against moisture?
As Corstat® is a coated fibreboard (i.e., corrugated cardboard), it only provides limited protection against moisture and other liquids. If this is a concern for your business, you can specify these ESD bins in conductive Correx® material (Corriplast) instead.
Can ESD storage bins help reduce my business's costs?
Whilst the upfront unit costs of Corstat® bin boxes (and other ESD safe packaging) are very competitive, several indirect savings across complement this over the life of the picking bins. Potential savings include reducing written-off stock (i.e., damaged and no longer usable), gains in efficiency and productivity, maximising storage space, and even increasing repeat business through reliable supply.
Can I get custom-sized ESD picking bins?
If a stock anti-static bin (or other product) is not entirely perfect for your requirements, our UK design team can create a bespoke anti-static packaging solution for any product or application. Our specialist team work closely with you to determine your requirements before providing a solution that offers the optimum level of protection for your products.
What other Corstat® products are available?
Bin boxes are just one of the popular handling and storage products manufactured from Corstat®. With a wide range of products that offer the highest levels of protection for your sensitive electronic components – from boxes, totes, dividers, layer pads, and specialist handling items – you can eliminate costly damage caused by static electricity.
