Conductive plastic slip sheets
Corriplast layer pads can be surprisingly helpful if you need to improve the efficiency of your handling processes.
Corriplast layer pads are sheets of conductive Correx®, sized to fit within handling containers or on pallets. Used with divider sets, layer pads allow you to store multiple levels of products or components in a container. Their ESD (electrostatic discharge) properties also help protect static-sensitive devices. They are also suitable for use as plastic slip sheets, helping stabilise products stacked on pallets.
At GWP Conductive, we can offer both conductive cardboard and plastic layer pads. plus a wide range of ESD packaging products designed and manufactured by our UK experts.

FAQs
What are layer pads used for?
Typically used with handling containers and divider sets, layer pads allow packing staff to stack multiple levels of products within a single tote or box. Doing so allows for much greater part density when handling, transporting, or storing parts, components, or finished products, improving the efficiency and productivity of your operations.
What are slip sheets?
You can use larger layer pads as “slip sheets” for products stacked on pallets. Placing slip sheets between layers of products helps to improve load stability.
When are conductive layer pads required?
Conductive layer pads are suitable for storing or handling ESD-sensitive items. The carbon added to Corriplast during manufacture means that any static charges are channelled across the material’s surface, away from nearby items. This behaviour is particularly useful if you’re storing or handling items such as PCBs, semiconductors, and electronic components.
Are plastic layer pads better than cardboard versions?
The use of Corriplast material provides several benefits over standard corrugated cardboard layer pads. These include improved resistance to moisture, oil, grease, and other liquids, as well as the ability to be cleaned and reused. They also offer a longer lifespan than corrugated cardboard equivalents, effectively making the reusable layer pads.
What sizes are Corriplast layer lads available in?
Corriplast layer pads are available in two stock sizes that are a perfect fit for the majority of industry standard tote boxes (including Corstat® Stackable Totes and SSI Schaefer EF series). However, if you require a specific size, we can manufacture plastic layer pads to bespoke dimensions.
