FAQs

What are 0201 boxes?

0201 boxes or cases are one of the most commonly used forms of packaging. They are effectively a single piece of corrugated material, with slots cut into it and a single glued, stitched, or stapled seam. The top and bottom flaps can then be closed using adhesive tapes for assembly and closure.

Can 0201 boxes be printed?

FEFCO 0201 style boxes are easy to print. Printed 0201s allow you to add simple (or complex) branding, multi-colour graphics, handling instructions, and other helpful information.

What grade of cardboard do 0201 boxes use?

The grade of corrugated material used to manufacture your corrugated cases depends on several factors. Considerations include the overall size, product weight, intended application, print requirements and budget. An experienced packaging designer can advise on the best material option for your specific application.

Are 0201 corrugated cases easy to assemble?

Corrugated cases are straightforward to assemble. Supplied flat, packing staff first fold out the box to form the four sizes, before folding over the four flaps of the base. Packing tape or similar adhesive is then used to seal the bottom of the carton. The process is repeated for the top once staff have packed the contents.

Are 0201 boxes supplied flat or assembled?

The simple one-piece design of 0201 boxes means they are usually supplied flat to minimise storage space before assembly. However, they are easy to erect, typically using an adhesive packing tape. As such, they offer the perfect balance between space saving and assembly times.
