Mike is an award-winning corrugated packaging designer with more than 30 years of experience at GWP Packaging.
Having studied for an OND in graphic design and then an HND in packaging design, Mike began his career in the industry at Boxes and Packaging in Swindon. He joined Great Western Packaging in May 1995, making an immediate and significant impact on the business’s success.
Mike is now responsible for GWP Packaging’s team of four designers, driving the culture within the department. The focus on creativity, form following function and the “simply clever” ethos means that Mike and his team can achieve performance and bespoke packaging solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible with corrugated material.
This dedication and expertise have been recognised with considerable accolades over the years, with Mike having won multiple Sheet Plant Association (SPA) and Starpack Awards. The most recent achievement saw a pack from the James Dyson Foundation win Best in Show.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys keeping fit, watching football, red wine, and spending time with his family.
