Kalon has substantial knowledge and experience in the packaging industry, having joined Macfarlane Packaging Design & Manufacture in 2019. Initially working on the factory floor, Kalon soon progressed to Team Leader before becoming part of the design team at Macfarlanes Westbury manufacturing site.
This hands-on experience has given Kalon a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of manufacturing processes and the practical requirements of industrial packaging. His academic background in Illustration from Oxford Brookes University also allows him to approach packaging design with both technical precision and creative problem-solving.
Kalon also holds an MPAS (Military Packager Approval Scheme) certification. This qualification allows him to specialise in the design of heavy-duty timber and composite packaging, with a particular focus on compliance with DEF STAN 81-41.
Outside of work, Kalon enjoys city travel, playing guitar, and spending time with his cat.
