Corrugated plastic containers
If you operate a supply chain shipping products or components between sites or to customers, reusable plastic shipping boxes can help reduce your ongoing costs.
Plastic shipping boxes are a reusable alternative to traditional corrugated packaging. Where return transport is available, reusing corrugated plastic containers across multiple trips eliminates the need to continually purchase single-trip boxes. Using Correx® to manufacture plastic shipping boxes allows them to be virtually any size, with tailored strength, inserts and features to suit specific products or applications.
At GWP Correx®, we have helped businesses across a range of industries reduce their long-term costs through returnable transit packaging solutions, expertly designing and manufacturing them at our UK production site.
Please note: Correx® is a registered and/or unregistered trademark of Corplex Plastics UK Ltd, its parent, subsidiaries and/or affiliates.

FAQs
What size plastic shipping boxes are available?
Correx® plastic shipping boxes can be manufactured to the exact size you require. This flexibility in sizes means they can be the perfect dimensions for your specific products and parts, be tailored to your pallets or warehouse space, and/or optimise the efficiency of your transport.
Are plastic shipping boxes more expensive than single-trip cardboard packaging?
Correx® heavy-duty shipping boxes have a higher unit cost than equivalent cardboard transit packaging. However, due to their reusability (100+ trips), their overall lifetime costs can be significantly lower over the mid to long term.
What material are plastic shipping boxes manufactured from?
Correx® – a corrugated polypropylene – is typically used to manufacture plastic shipping boxes. Often called “plastic cardboard” boxes, it is possible to convert Correx® material into the same box styles as cardboard but with enhanced durability, longevity, and resistance to water, grease, etc. Correx® does not generate dust or shed fibres, either, which can be a requirement for shipping some specialist items.
Can print and branding be added to corrugated plastic containers?
Correx® provides a suitable surface for both screen and digital printing. And it is often beneficial to print on your Correx® plastic shipping boxes. For example, including branding and logos can provide free advertising through your supply chain. Health and safety info, handling instructions and/or product details can also improve the usability of your transit packaging for users.
Are plastic shipping boxes strong enough for the weight of heavier products?
Correx® material comes in several thicknesses and grades, meaning your plastic shipping boxes can provide the exact strength required to accommodate your products. Additionally, for extremely heavy items, the material can be double-skinned (i.e., two layers) to increase strength and longevity further.
