Printed Sleeves for Packaging
Ideal for inventory consolidation, promotions & increasing sales
Printed cardboard sleeves can provide your packaging with increased flexibility, whilst capturing consumer attention and driving sales too.
With bright, bold colours – as well as your branding – printed sleeves can allow you to consolidate your packaging boxes (reducing costs) and differentiate between varying ranges packaged in the same outer cartons. They are also ideal for short lived promotions, seasonal information, and special offers. Read More
Detailed information on Printed Sleeves
With a number of striking print options – everything from simple, bold branding, all the way through to photographic quality imagery – making use of sleeves can be a cost-effective way of enhancing your corrugated packaging.
Manufactured to bespoke sizes to be a perfect fit for your existing packaging and / or product, the micro flute corrugated material used also ensures a clean appearance and is fully recyclable too.
Flexibility provided by cardboard sleeves
Cardboard sleeves provide your business with a great deal of flexibility too.
Firstly, they can help with rationalising / consolidating your packaging inventory.
Rather than having a wide variation of printed packaging to cover all of your different products, it is possible to package multiple products within a streamlined range of boxes. The sleeves effectively allow for the specific items / ranges to then be identified.
This simplification of your packaging inventory can significantly reduce costs through economies of scale, as well as simplifying processes for your manufacturing and packing teams.
Similarly, sleeves can be used for adding extra information to existing packs. This could, for example, include details of seasonal promotions, competitions, product updates and special offers etc.
Key Benefits of cardboard sleeves at a glance
Commonly asked questions on corrugated sleeves
Although cardboard sleeves are a relatively simple product – at least when compared with some types of retail or product boxes – there are still a number of common questions about this type of packaging.
Please see below for answers to these or contact a GWP team member for further assistance.
What are packaging sleeves?
Packaging sleeves are effectively a “loop” of material that is used to slide over existing boxes or packaging. They can be used for identifying specific products (that allows for different products to be packed in the same outer pack) as well as for promotions and other sales activity.
Are these made from corrugated cardboard or card material?
Printed sleeves can be manufactured from either corrugated cardboard (using a micro flute grade) or from a solid card material. Which of these would be best for your business will depend on the product type, existing packaging, target market and intended application. GWP will be happy to advise on the best solution for your requirements.
Can these be used for time limited promotions?
Printed cardboard sleeves are a great option for in store promotions. For example, they can be used to promote competitions, special discounts, updates to the products (particularly with software or digital / electronics items), seasonal offers or even to bundle different items together (e.g. buy one get one free).
Are these cardboard sleeves recyclable?
All of the cardboard sleeves that GWP supply and manufacture are completely recyclable (and are typically made from around 80 per cent recycled material too). They are also biodegradable if they unfortunately make their way into landfill rather than being properly recycled.
Can I have photos printed on these sleeves?
There is a wide range of printing options that you can choose from when specifying cardboard sleeves. This includes simple one or two colour branding (which can include striking blocks of colours and pantone matching) as well as full photographic printing using litho or digital methods.
What is packaging consolidation?
Packaging consolidation (or rationalisation) is a process whereby a large inventory of different boxes are condensed in a more streamlined range. This is done to reduce costs and aid efficiency. Sleeves can help with this by allowing various products to be packed within a single outer box, with the contents then shown by the use of differing sleeves.
