Description
More information on Correx® heavy-duty containers
If you require a heavy-duty tote for your handling, storage or distribution, the default option is a moulded plastic option, such as Euro Containers.
And whilst these offer excellent strength and performance, they have several downsides – particularly their limited range of sizes.
However, heavy-duty Correx® totes provide a viable alternative.
Correx® totes utilise a cross fluted, 5mm material and clever structural design to provide equivalent strength and performance as the moulded Euro box options.
The use of Correx® also allows GWP to manufacture your tote boxes to any size you require. Specifying custom sizes can mean more efficient use of storage space, easier handling for your staff, improved protection for parts and components, and minimised shipping costs (or indeed all of the above).
The material and manufacturing process also means Correx® heavy-duty containers are very competitive in terms of pricing.
Further options and enhancements
Besides customising the size to suit your requirements, by opting to use Correx® heavy-duty tote boxes, you can also select from a wide range of additional options.
Variations include several colours, as well as adding external print. Your business can use print to match your company’s corporate identity and provide free advertising throughout your supply chain. You can also use it to add important info such as batch or part numbers, handling instructions, and safety warnings.
You can also select from a wide range of handles, stacking corners, lid options and, of course, inserts and dunnage.
Correx® division sets, foam pads and inserts, layer pads and even specialist inserts – manufactured from Bubbleboard – can help eliminate surface scratches and marring to your parts. You can also use vacuum formed trays as inserts for your Correx® totes.
All of this means that you can now source heavy-duty containers for your business without compromising on features, size, or price.

Common questions regarding heavy duty totes
Please see the most commonly asked questions regarding these heavy-duty Correx® totes.
Can’t see what you need? Please get in touch on 01793 754 457 or email correx@gwp.co.uk.
Can Correx® totes be as strong as Euro Containers?
Using a 5mm material with a cross-fluted design provides heavy-duty Correx® totes with exceptional durability and strength. These will perform as well as the moulded plastic Euro Container options for most applications.
Why should I use Correx® totes instead of moulded plastic?
The key benefit of using Correx® totes over Euro Containers or similar handling solutions is the ability to manufacture them to almost any size. Specifying custom sizes allows you to tailor your totes to the size/volume of products you need to store or distribute, your available storage space, or maximise transit efficiency.
Can these be used as heavy-duty plastic storage boxes with lids?
Correx® totes are available with a range of lids and many other customisable features (including handles, straps, and inserts). These options make them perfect as industrial, heavy-duty plastic storage boxes with lids.
Are there any stock-size Correx® totes?
GWP manufacture Correx® tote boxes to your specific requirements. Whilst you can specify standard euro or pallet sizes, custom sizes usually improve efficiency, as you do not need to select the closest stock option.
Can these heavy-duty storage containers be safely stacked?
The Correx® heavy-duty storage containers incorporate stacking corners as standard, allowing them to be safely stacked even when fully loaded. Safe stacking can help minimise storage requirements and transit costs whilst improving safety for your warehouse and production staff.
Is Correx® waterproof?
Correx® is resistant to water, grease, oil, and most chemicals and is also easily cleaned. However, the structural design and lid options can determine whether your totes are fully waterproof (please speak with a GWP adviser if this is a requirement).
