Euro Containers

Euro stacking boxes

If you supply components, parts or assemblies to the automotive, aerospace or similar manufacturing industries, Euro containers should be a vital part of your supply chain packaging.

Euro containers, also commonly known as Euro stacking boxes, crates or even KLT, are moulded plastic containers. Standard Euro containers adhere to the VDA 4500 standard, including the common 600×400 mm and 400×300 mm footprints. Their integral hand-holes, stacking features, and robust construction allow staff to handle Euro containers safely and efficiently.

Whilst GWP can competitively supply empty Euro boxes and stacking containers, the real value we can add to your business is our range of custom options. We can design, manufacture, and supply various Euro container dividers, add optional lids and handles, and even print branding to exterior surfaces as required.

FAQs

What sizes of Euro containers are available?

Euro containers are available in industry-standard 600×400 mm and 400×300 mm footprints, with different heights available for both. These standard dimensions ensure your Euro storage boxes are compatible with conveyors, pallets, warehouse racking and the majority of your existing manufacturing processes.

Are there any custom options for Euro containers?

You can customise your Euro containers in several ways. In addition to the hinged and folding lids, you can select from a wide range of inserts. Options include Correx® dividers, layer pads, specialist divisions (Bubble-board), vacuum-formed trays, and even routed, die-cut and conductive foam inserts.

Are there any benefits of using Euro container dividers or inserts?

The addition of fixed or adjustable Euro container dividers – manufactured to your exact specification – allows multiple parts or products within a container and further enhances protection by minimising movement during handling. Euro container inserts can also significantly improve staff productivity, enabling much easier (and quicker) loading and unloading of parts.

Are Euro containers safe to stack?

Euro containers feature integral stacking rims that allow users to stack them safely on top of each other. Coupled with the durable plastic construction, the max stacking weight of Euro stacking containers is typically 200kg (or 10 fully loaded containers). The integral hand holes also assist staff in stacking and general handling of the containers.

Are there any Euro container alternatives?

While Euro containers are arguably the most robust and durable tote box option, heavy-duty Correx® totes are a suitable alternative. These provide similar performance but – crucially – allow manufacture in almost any size you require.
