Description
More information on custom Correx® inserts
As well as Correx® outer containers and rigid plastic handling solutions, your business can also source a range of custom inserts designed and manufactured to help with specific challenges or issues you are facing.
Whilst this can include simple divider sets, layer pads, and slip sheets for separating stock within containers (or stacked on pallets), you can also specify more advanced inserts designed for your items.
A dedicated Correx® design team can also create completely custom Correx® inserts, including features such as die-cut holes for a product or component location, dividers, handles and folded edges to create space below the insert.
Custom inserts can also include perfectly shaped recesses to house delicate or expensive items, solutions for particularly large or unusually shaped components or products, and even a range of specialist materials that provide enhanced protection and performance.
Whilst this includes extensive use of Correx®, your inserts can also utilise foam blocks and inserts, vacuum-formed trays, and even Bubble board material. Bubble board offers surfaces which can be laminated with fabric to reduce scuffing or foam to add cushioning (effectively textile dividers).
Why use custom Correx® inserts?
While using standard plastic inserts – such as Correx® dividers, layer pads and even foam dunnage – can significantly impact your business efficiency and costs, using tailored options can have an even more pronounced impact.
Firstly, custom inserts can allow protection levels tailored to your items. Tailoring your inserts to your parts, products or components, reduces damage caused during handling. Reducing damage minimises the associated costs of this to your business.
Custom Correx® or other inserts can also help improve efficiency too. For example, creating different-sized cells within a single outer tote is possible. This type of insert effectively makes a large-scale “kitting tray” (i.e., all components for a specific task or step in the assembly process are stored and transported in a single outer tote). Kitting trays are becoming particularly popular with automotive manufacturers, amongst others.
Further efficiency gains are possible by maximising the use of available space, helping to identify different parts or batches more quickly, and even aiding safe handling processes.

FAQs
Common questions regarding Custom inserts
Thinking that maybe a custom Correx® insert is the best option for your business? But have some questions first? No problem!
The most commonly asked questions (and answers) are detailed here, but please get in touch for any other information you require.
Why should I use custom inserts?
Custom inserts can provide several benefits over stock divider sets, layer pads etc. Advantages include being perfectly tailored to your specific application, typically resulting in efficiency and productivity gains. Custom inserts can also significantly reduce damage caused through mishandling, further lowering your ongoing costs.
What are custom inserts manufactured from?
Whilst using Correx® material is common for custom inserts, they frequently combine many different materials (including fabric or foam laminated Bubbleboard and foam inserts or blocks. This combination of materials can allow for much greater protection levels.
Can I get a custom insert for my existing containers?
It is possible to develop Custom Correx® inserts (and indeed those using other materials) to work inside your existing handling containers (such as Correx® totes, Euro boxes etc.). Doing so can reduce your upfront costs whilst allowing you to realise the benefits of these options.
What is a kitting tray?
A kitting tray is traditionally a small (often vacuum formed) tray that stores the different parts needed for a specific assembly operation. However, larger-scale versions of these – effectively tote containers with dividers to house all components required by a production operative – are also growing in popularity.

Why GWP Correx®?
Free quotes, expert advice, and focus on customer service
Many suppliers of Correx® products focus on supplying stock ranges or dividers, layer pads and inserts.
Whilst these are undoubtedly useful in many applications, there are times when the only feasible option is a custom-designed insert (or complete returnable packaging solution).
This scenario is where GWP Correx® come in.
Whilst you can specify your products in standard and commonly used sizes, a key benefit to your business is choosing a completely bespoke solution (outer container, insert, or both).
Tailoring your handling products to your requirements has the knock-on effect of being more cost-effective, minimising damage, improving efficiency and much more. Taking advantage of an experienced design department also means that your custom inserts provide the optimum protection and usability whilst remaining within your budget.
