One of the most widely used forms of corrugated packaging, the FEFCO 0201 style of box – or corrugated cases as they are frequently called – are a cost effective option for your transit packaging.

Available in a wide range of material options to allow for a suitable level of durability and protection for your items, corrugated cases are frequently used for shipping all manner of products, parts and industrial / consumer items.

The simple one-piece design makes efficient use of material, and is supplied flat to minimise storage space before assembly.

0201 cases are also easy to erect, typically using an adhesive packing tape. As such, they offer the perfect balance between space saving and assembly times (i.e. staff productivity).

Custom 0201 cases

Unlike the vast majority of packaging merchants, GWP will produce any corrugated cases you require to your exact sizes and specification.

Besides dimensions tailored to your product (minimising void fill requirements, material usage and lowering shipping costs), the 0201 box seams may be glued, stitched, or taped (depending on the overall sizes, strength or shipping requirements).

What are 0201 boxes?

0201 boxes or cases are one of the most commonly used forms of packaging. They are effectively a single piece of corrugated material, with slots cut into it and a single glued, stitched, or stapled seam. The top and bottom flaps can then be closed using adhesive tapes for assembly / sealing.

Who are FEFCO?

0201 cartons are part of a larger collection of standard designs for cardboard boxes and packaging, known as the FEFCO styles catalogue. FEFCO stands for the European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers (which written in French gives the FEFCO initials). GWP can manufacture and supply the full range of FEFCO styles.

What grade of corrugated is used for standard cartons?

The grade of corrugated material used to manufacture your corrugated cases will depend on a number of factors. This includes the overall size, product weight, intended application, print requirements and budget. A GWP design engineer will be happy to advise on the best material option for your specific application.

Are corrugated cases easy to assemble?

Corrugated cases are very easy to assemble. Supplied flat, the box if first folded out to form the four sizes, before the four flaps of the base are folded over flat. Packing tape or similar adhesive is then used to seal the bottom of the carton. The process is repeated for the top once the contents have been packed.
