Plastic Parts Bins

Component bins

Plastic parts bins are perfect if you need a storage solution for small components.

Plastic parts bins, shelf bins or component bins, are small, open-fronted containers for storing small items. Manufactured from moulded polypropylene – although Correx® parts bins are also available – they are durable, long-lasting and cost-effective. Moulded parts bins are available in industry-standard sizes to fit racking/shelving, and can be stacked to further maximise space.

At GWP Correx®, we can supply a range of standard plastic parts storage bins from a stock holding of sizes, including anti-static versions. We can also provide impartial advice on whether a standard part bin or a bespoke picking bin would be the most cost-effective long-term option for your specific application.

FAQs

What are plastic parts bins manufactured from?

Plastic parts bins typically use polypropylene in their manufacture. This material means that not only are they strong and durable, but they are also resistant to moisture, grease, oil and most chemicals. These properties make them perfect not only as traditional picking bins, but also for a wide range of industrial applications. Anti-static versions using carbon impregnated material are also available.

Are plastic parts bins suitable for use in workshops?

Due to the polypropylene material and the design that allows them to be wall-mounted on a louvre panel, these containers are a great choice for workshop storage bins. They are ideal for storing all manner of small parts, components and products.

Are large parts bins available?

There are seven sizes in this range of plastic parts bins, from 65 x 91 x 44mm to 445 x 279 x 185mm (internal length x width x depth). Whilst this makes them suitable for many different products, the sizes are also compatible with one another, allowing them to be stacked and nested in various configurations. It is possible to manufacture large parts bins outside of these sizes from Correx®, if required.

Are plastic parts bins stackable?

The clever design of these plastic parts bins allows users to stack them in various configurations. The semi-open front also allows easy retrieval of items from within the bins, even when they are stacked.

Are these bins suitable for use in damp conditions?

Due to their smooth walls and rigid material, these bins are not only resistant to moisture and dust but also easy to clean. These features make them a good choice for use in damp or dusty conditions. As the plastic material is also non-shedding (i.e. does not lose fibres like corrugated cardboard), it makes them ideal for clean room or medical applications too.
