If you or your colleagues frequently travel with or use specialist tools and kit on-site, suitable equipment cases are a must.
Equipment cases protect valuable, fragile and specialist items from damage. Hard exteriors absorb shock and impact and prevent water and dust from damaging contents. Optional (but widely used) foam inserts provide additional cushioning. And, whilst equipment cases help avoid costly damage, they can also improve organisation and productivity.
At GWP, we have been supplying hard equipment cases with bespoke foam inserts for over 30 years. We can not only recommend a suitable protective case from a vast range of standard options but also create a custom equipment case tailored precisely to your specific requirements.

What is a rugged case?
Rugged cases are protective cases used to protect high-value or fragile parts, products or equipment. They are particularly durable and hard-wearing, being popular in sectors including defence, aerospace, medical and similar industrial markets.
Will a rugged case protect its contents against being dropped?
Rugged cases provide excellent protection from mishandling. Their tough exterior absorbs shocks, impacts and vibration when in transit, protecting their contents.
Are heavy-duty cases waterproof?
Most heavy-duty cases offer protection from dust and water ingress (keeping contents clean and dry). Cases have what is known as an IP rating (standing for ingress protection), which measures how resistant to water and particles the case is.
Are rugged cases available in custom sizes?
Most rugged cases, such as ammo boxes, roto moulded or waterproof case options, are available in an extensive number of standard sizes. This range usually allows you to select an appropriate-sized option. However, GRP cases are available in custom sizes (up to 8 metres long), making them ideal for especially large or unusually shaped items.
Can foam inserts be added to rugged cases?
Rugged cases can offer even greater protection with a custom foam insert. The foam can be tailored to a specific part, product or equipment and provides cushioning protection (i.e. absorbing shocks, vibrations, etc.). You can choose to add foam inserts or lining to virtually any protective case option.
Rugged case experts
Regardless of your industry, product or application, GWP can offer you a rugged case that exceeds your expectations.
We provide various cases that feature different materials, strengths, and weights, catering to different budgets. You can also select from a vast range of standard-size cases from brands including Peli, SKB, Explorer and B&W. Alternatively, you can specify a completely custom case. Whilst an off-the-shelf case provides tried and trusted performance, a custom rugged case can provide significant benefits in terms of specific sizing, transport efficiency and tailored performance.
Having provided rugged and heavy-duty cases for more than 30 years, we can recommend the case most suited to your specific requirements. Our team of experts will never provide biased advice based on a limited range of options, just an honest, open appraisal of your requirements and the best fit for your specific application.
Whether you already know the case you need or are looking for help in choosing, any case you source through us can also be enhanced in several ways. Predominantly, this means including a custom foam insert to provide precise protection for your items but also extends to external printing and mounts for electronic equipment.
So, if you require a heavy-duty, rugged case for your business, please contact one of our case experts today for a free quote or advice as required.
