Finding Your Perfect Carry Case
Complete product info on WAG Jazz cases
WAG, the German manufacturer of Jazz cases, provide one of the most comprehensive range of plastic carry cases available. Saying that, their range faces stiff competition from the likes of Hofbauer, Maxado, Rose Plastic and others.
So how can you know if WAG cases – and in particular their Jazz range – are right for your business?
This detailed buying guide aims to answer that questions, covering all the key features and benefits of these plastic cases.

What are WAG Jazz Cases?
Durable plastic carry cases for industrial applications
Jazz is positioned as one of the mid duty plastic cases manufactured by the German headquartered WAG. Whilst this in itself makes them incredibly versatile and suitable for a range of applications, they have a number of inherent features that enhance this still further.
In fact, this combination of features and the durable polypropylene from which they are manufactured, makes them an intermediate option between the lighter weight plastic cases (e.g. Tekno, Twist) and the heavier duty Heavy case range.

Offering 15 sizes and 7 standard colours – or 19 if you count the additional 12 subject to minimum order volumes – Jazz cases also provide enough options for most requirements too. It is easy to find a case that is a good fit in terms of both size and matching brand colours.
Whilst not focused so intently on use as a sample case, Jazz cases can still be printed or have graphics applied via in mould labelling to make them a solid option for this.
Foam inserts can also be added to Jazz cases to allow for better presentation of samples, as well as improved protection for the contents. This latter point applies whether transporting new products to a sales meeting or taking tools and equipment out on site.
WAG Jazz Case Features
Well-designed features for enhanced usability
Whilst Jazz provides a good compromise between appearance, protection and cost, there is one thing it does not compromise on – features. Please see below diagram and accompanying annotations regarding the features included on every one of the Jazz sample case range.

A
Ribbed Handle: The handle on Jazz cases is not only moulded into the main body of the case – making it longer lasting and more robust – but also features subtle ribs. This makes the case easier to grip, without compromising comfort.
B
Durable Catches: The hard wearing, integrated seals / catches are not only easy to use, but are strong enough to ensure that the contents of your case remains secure. The colours can also be different from the main body of the cases.
C
Ribbed Design: Jazz cases feature a striking ribbed design, making them appear both clean and modern. The ribbing also provides added strength to the cases too.
D
Smooth Surface Area: Between the ribbed parts of the case there remains a large amount of space for adding print and branding. This can be as simple as vinyl lettering, screen printing, digital, or even in mould labelling.
E
Moulded Feet: The chunky moulded feet give Jazz cases enhanced levels of stability when stood upright, making them easier to store and transport safely.
F
Stacking Feature: Besides their feet, Jazz cases also have moulded lugs that allow for the cases to be stacked when led horizontally too. Again, this makes storage and transit more efficient.

Applications
Example uses / applications for WAG Jazz
As mentioned earlier in this guide, Jazz cases provide a mid-way option between lighter weight and heavier duty plastic cases. This makes a good all-round option for various applications, a number of which are detailed below.
Tool Cases
Jazz cases are a great option for storing (or selling) sets of tools. This can include items such as drill bits, socket sets, or more specialised parts or components.
Their suitability for this can be improved further through the use of optional internal divider panels, which can help separate the top and bottom compartments of the case.
They also provide reasonable levels of protection, particularly when enhanced with custom foam inserts.

Equipment Cases
Service engineers, technicians, installers, general maintenance teams and many other groups of employees often need to take equipment out on to site with them.
Whilst for highly valuable, fragile or specialist equipment this will likely be stored in a waterproof equipment case (such as Peli, Storm or Explorer), Jazz cases are a good option for more standard tools or kit.
Foam inserts can also play an important role in their suitability here, with Jazz cases enhanced with foam allowing for better organisation of items (and therefore improved efficiency), as well providing protection from mishandling too.

Medical Devices
Medical devices are another area where Jazz cases should be considered.
The polypropylene material and smooth surfaces this provides, allows for Jazz cases to be easily cleaned / sterilised (important in medical settings).
As medical equipment is likely expensive – but equally unlikely to be transported too much – the level of protection provided by Jazz cases can be a good fit too.
Sales Pitches
Jazz cases offer enough options – including colours, branding and sizes – as well as an attractive appearance, to mean they can be considered if your sales team need sample presentation cases.
The fact they can be easily branded also helps here, with screen or digital printing allowing for company logos to be accurately recreated.
Foam inserts will also help with presentation and can even be branded themselves through laser etching.

General Use
Although not a specific application, Jazz cases are a good all-round option. This makes a suitable case for general use in a huge range of applications, markets and industries. If you are unsure however whether it would be suitable for your business, a GWP case expert will be happy to advise.
