What does GWP Group do?


GWP Group are innovators in protective packaging. Our five divisions cover the entire spectrum of packaging products – from traditional corrugated cardboard boxes, protective cases with foam inserts, re-usable plastic materials handling, anti-static packaging and much more besides. We also offer a wide range of well known brands (such as Peli, SSI Schaefer, Corstat etc) and an array of market leading, value added services.

Can GWP help with packaging design and provide samples?


We certainly can! We have an award winning in-house packaging design team equipped with the latest CAD software and systems. We guarantee we can create a design to suit any application, and part of the process will be creating a design sample before production.


Does GWP have someone who can visit us to advise us on our packaging?


We have a dedicated and experienced sales team who would love to discuss either your existing or upcoming packaging requirements. After an initial meeting, we will involve our designers, account managers and production team to ensure we provide the best packaging solution for you.


How long will it take GWP to provide a quote?


As with lead times, this can depend on the complexity and size of the packaging project. We will always endeavour to supply quotes as quickly as possible and if you have a deadline then please let us know – we will always do our best to work to your time-frame.


What quantities of packaging can I order from GWP?


Depending on which division you are working with, there may be no minimum and no maximum order quantity. However, if there is a minimum order quantity, we can advise based on your initial enquiry, ensuring that you get the most cost effective packaging solution.


What are the typical lead times at GWP?


The lead times we quote can vary depending on a specific project and its’ complexity. However, we can advise you on this at the outset, and our lead times are among the best in the industry.


Where does GWP Group deliver its’ packaging?


Our main market is the south west of England, but due to the specialist nature of many of our packaging products we have our own fleet of vehicles that cover the entire United Kingdom. We may even be able to deliver abroad depending on the project. Please contact a member of our team for more information.


How and when was GWP Group formed?


GWP Group has been trading in various forms since 1990. Originally known as the Great Western Packaging Company, we initially focused on corrugated cardboard packaging. We later incorporated Eastman Packaging and Corstat into the Group in order to offer an unrivalled range of products and services. In 2009 the individual companies were rebranded as the GWP Group (consisting of our current 4 divisions – GWP Packaging, GWP Protective, GWP Conductive and GWP Coatings), and have gone from strength to strength. GWP Correx, the fifth division, was added in 2013.

Where is GWP located?


Our Packaging, Conductive. Correx and Coatings divisions are all located at our custom built production unit at Cricklade, just outside of Swindon in Wiltshire, which is also home to our head office and design studio.


Our Protective division, formerly Eastman Packaging, has its’ own dedicated manufacturing, design and sales offices in Old Sarum, Salisbury, Wiltshire.

What is GWP doing to help the environment?


The environment is obviously of the highest consideration when creating any form of packaging. Whilst environmental issues are highly regulated in the packaging industry, at GWP we aim to go “above and beyond” with regards to our own responsibilities.


A key consideration of every solution we design and manufacture is to reduce materials used (without sacrificing performance) and the use of as much recycled and recyclable materials as possible. We have also implemented a number of schemes to reduce our impact on the environment and our carbon footprint.

Does GWP Group participate in any industry or government schemes?


As we are constantly looking to improve our services, we are highly active in a number of schemes. We are proud to hold ISO accreditations, are a “Beacon Company” and participate in a number of equal opportunities programmes. Our staff are also encouraged to take part in regular training and skills programmes.
